This was the invitation to Nate's 50th birthday. Instead of presents, Nate wanted nothing more than to be able to do something good for other people. In order to support the many refugees in need, according to the invitation, donations could be made to the "Verein für Willkommenskultur und Integration Kaisersbach e.V.":
"But beforehand, one thing is important to me: gifts, I do not wish for any. But let us share our bread with people who are in great need: I invite you to donate now, to do something good for the refugees. If we are well and others are not, let us never forget our duty!"
After the welcome song, performed by Anne and Nate's youngest children, a presentation by the association was given alongside an international multi-course meal, with selected local wines. Impressed by the voluntary, selfless and sacrificial work for the Ukrainian refugees, more than €10,000 were donated. Together with two large baskets filled with urgently needed clothing, various toys and other donations in kind, the check was received by Anette and Ernst-Günter Junge full of gratitude and with great joy. Two lovingly painted pictures of refugee children, who had expressed their impressions and feelings during their flight, were presented to Nate.
With musical entertainment, a midnight snack and good conversation, the company sat together until the early hours of the next morning.
