About rantronik

For his 10th birthday, Nate Rube received a “Märklin Elex 1052” electronics kit from his parents. From then on, he spent every spare minute building and experimenting with electrical circuits. By age 12, he had constructed his own transmitter and receiver — using empty mustard jars as insulators. Much to his neighbors’ surprise, the system could remotely open their garage door.

When semiconductor components first became affordable for private users, Nate began assembling various test circuits, even producing his own photo-etched circuit boards — and suffered a few soldering burns along the way. Just a few years later, he was selling his first LED lighting systems for industrial image processing in the pharmaceutical sector.

Curious and eager to learn, Nate continued to deepen his expertise in electronics — but recognized early on that this field couldn’t compete with mass-produced goods from China. Instead, it would have to grow into a niche market — which it has, to this day.

The name “rantronik” carries special meaning. Even when registering his part-time business, Nate wanted a name with a personal touch. It combines the initials of his future wife Anne and himself:
rube, anne & nate elektronik.

Over time, the service portfolio has grown to include international business development, interim and project management, coaching, and more. Yet the name rantronik continues to stand for competence, reliability, and flexibility — and has remained our personal brand:

Our approach

We start every project with extensive consultation and communication with our clients because we aim to understand their ideas, expectations and goals down to the finest detail.

Then we start by implementing the client’s specific requirements in a project plan, giving equal consideration to technical feasibility and economic viability in our deliberations.

Over the course of the ongoing project, we not only bring our long-standing experience and expertise in the sector to the table at all times, but also provide timely advice on the coaching, courses and training sessions necessary ‒ from our perspective ‒ for team building purposes for everyone involved in the project.

We monitor all the project stages we agree with the client, providing information about the current status of the project on an ongoing basis.

Where we gather equivalent bids based on meaningful tender documents to help with the decision-making process, we always provide our clients with alternatives to our services ‒ because final decision-making authority always rests with the client.

““Coming together is the beginning. Keeping together is progress. Working together is success.” – Henry Ford

Our philosophy: Your project, in safe hands.

Our professional ethics mean that we always draw on our diligence, reliability, thoroughness and interpersonal skills, relying on the latest methods, to complete our clients’ assignments in a goal-oriented and efficient manner. Our aim is to eliminate weaknesses, build on strengths, minimise risks and seize opportunities so that together we can effect successful, positive change ‒ and always with complete sensitivity to the situation and all those involved.

We want to find perfect, tailor-made solutions for our clients without tying them to specific ranges of products or services, and continually optimise their price-performance ratio with the use of expert services and modern means of communication. We therefore continue to build on our expertise by tracking current market developments and constantly sharing knowledge with clients, suppliers and our partners in our network. Because our advisory, planning and management work is always carried out on behalf of our client, and their maximum satisfaction always takes centre stage in our work as a whole.
